Bottled Water Advantages

You may be wondering about the advantages of bottled water over tap water. There certainly are some bottled water advantages that you don't get with tap water. When it comes to safety, the majority of experts agree that municipal tap water is as safe as bottled water. However, there are reasons why you may decide to drink bottled water instead of tap water. If you live in a rural area and don't get your water from a municipal source it may not be of good drinking quality. While you can certainly use a filtration system many people like the convenience that comes with bottled water.

Water in disposable bottles can be easily stored and carried with you anywhere you go. Drinking bottled water makes it easy to hydrate your body when on the go. And, bottled water is available most everywhere from supermarkets to gas stations. If you buy bottled water, you are more likely to drink it. Some people can go all day drinking soft drinks and never once think about getting a glass of tap water. However, if you've actually spent money on bottles of water and see them sitting in your refrigerator you are more likely to drink them rather than letting your hard earned money go to waste.

Another advantage that comes with bottled water is selection. There are so many varieties of water available that you will never get bored. Some people claim they don't like water. They may not like the taste of the water that comes from their spigot, but they could surely find a brand of bottled water that is palatable to them. There are many different varieties, including glacier water, mineral water, sparkling water and even flavored water. Some bottled water even has essential vitamins and electrolytes included. Water is a booming business and companies are releasing products to meet the needs and preferences of today's active consumer.

As you can see, there are quite a few bottled water advantages. There are a few things you should know about using bottled water safely, however. It's important not to reuse empty plastic water bottles because dangerous bacteria can grow inside the bottle. Not only that, but repeated washings of a disposable water bottle may cause chemicals in the plastic to break down and leak into the water. So when drinking bottled water, choose a new bottle each time for maximum safety and health. Also, recycle your plastic bottles when possible to reduce the harmful effect of plastic waste products on the environment.
